Creating My Website-Blog

1. I enjoyed selecting which pieces I added to the website, and ordering them to work well with each following piece. It's a lot like curating an online gallery in that way, even the labeling looks professional to me.
2. I used Wix to create my website, and it was a lot simpler than InDesign. The downside of it was that it had limited options when it came to selecting text, and using different fonts and sizes. It also had set stationary image blocks that wouldn't move, but had many templates to substitute this issue. InDesign has many more options but Wix was easy and simple to use.
3. The biggest challenge I faced was editing the texts to fit the page the way I wanted them to. Because the website has templates, it only allows you to put text in certain areas, and doesn't have great options for changing the size of the text either. I sorted through most all of the templates for each individual text and image area for one that had them on the right side, then changed the font size for some of them.
4. My favorite part of creating the website was knowing I'll be able to add to it and change soon after student teaching. The fact that I now know exactly how to edit this and change it, I can make it into anything if I ever decide it looks outdated or needs to be renewed. I'm excited for it to be a really strong website after I graduate.
5. I think that it symbolize me in some ways, that it is professional and that it has a strong color harmony. I want to revise it in the future, because my work will expand, as well as my experiences.
6.I think that I will add to my website as I start student teaching, to include student work and any experience I earn outside of that. I will have newer work on there, and things I have yet to make. I hope that I will enjoy it still and that it looks complete in the future.
