Week 7-Videos

Part One:
My newsletter is a How-To Guide on discussing artwork effectively.
My audience is upper level art students, my peers, and anyone transitioning into art professionally.

Part Two:

"Creating a Newsletter"- Using In Design allows you to place images within, under or around text. You can do this by selecting File, Place, then you can adjust the layer it is on or the position it is in to modify it.

"Wrapping Text around Objects"- Under the Typography workspace you can use Text Wrap to incorporate different size texts and join it with the rest of the text. After finding the wrap that fits best with your letter/word you can choose wrap to the largest area which will fix any unwanted wrapped text.

"Placing Graphics"- You can use File, Place to insert a graphic, from there you can change the shape of the image by cropping it by dragging the edge lines. Then you can change the scale by selecting the scale tool that fits with your image located on the top right.

"Working with Pages and Master Pages"- Master pages allow you to add templates to just a single page and duplicate this on all of the pages. It is also a double page that can be treated as individual pages.

Part Three:

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/transforming-objects.html  - This article covers a ton of information, essentially I tried to find out if holding shift was the best way to constrain the proportions of an image once placed and it is. I picked this to help me scale images better.

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/how-to/edit-modify-content.html  -This article covered editing designs for newsletters in In Design. Some important things they recommended were keeping swatches that color coordinate with your project, as well it explains how to rotate images around the center. I picked this article because it seemed very well put together and helpful.

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/placing-graphics.html  - This article was about placing images and editing them in In Design more than just cropping. It explains how to remove edges and create a non-geometric form that hugs the image you want and cuts the unwanted background. I chose this article because I wasn't sure how much edited I would do to the images I used and thought this could help if I edited an image this way.
