Adobe Illustrator Videos
In the video, "What is Illustrator?", they explained that illustrator uses vector scaling, meaning you can scale an image to size and not worry about pixels and low resolution because the vectors use math to form the shapes. Illustrator is great for use in making logos.
"How to set up a new document" was about using Adobe Illustrator on your phone and other devices, and how to begin a new document. It gave examples of where to find orientation, or image size.
In, "Working with Art Boards", they demonstrate how you can work on separate Art Boards by working next to other projects, by placing them side to side, in order to work back and forth. It also showed you how to select an art board.
In the article,"Working with Shapes", it visually demonstrates how you can create shapes by using the shape tool and moving the edges. You can use properties to change the angle, or proportion of the shape.
In the video, "Using brushes", the narrator demonstrates how to adjust the brush tool in width and style, as well it allows you to stroke the path with the brush tool exactly to make a perfect stroke; and can allow you to change the size.
In "Applying Color", they explain that Illustrator uses shapes as two colors, the outline and the solid fill inside of the shape. These two are colored separately and can be selection on the left side squares.
The article, "Working with type", shows that Illustrator uses text the same way as Photoshop, just with simpler options for shaping text into a shape, around a shape, morphing words, all while staying a text box.
In "Transformation", it explains you can use the Free Transform Tool to rotate, scale, distort, but did not mention a warp tool at all. This allows you to use multiple proportional tools at once.
In the "Control Panel" the panel with all your tool's options was discussed. Each tool has options for modification of some sort that varies in actions depending on the tool. Things like opacity, variety of width, and selection options are typically there.
The article, "Viewing Modes", was about how you can zoom in and out of documents depending on what you want to see, as well it shows you how to preview images and view them in a trimmed view.
The video for "Layers" explained that each shape is made on its own layer so that it is its own shape in space and is above or below another shape, or in front of and behind. This can be changed by using the arrange tools in properties.
